 UNIT 12: A VACATION ABROAD
1/ Past progressive tense: 
 S + was/ were + Ving 
Form:
 Usage: 
. Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra vào một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.
Ex: I was watching TV at 9 last night.
 What were you doing at 10 am yesterday?.
. Diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra và kéo dài trong một khoảng thời gian xác định trong 
 quá khứ.
Ex: I was listening to music all day yesterday.
(I was listening to music from 7 am to 11 am last Sunday.)
 Past progressive with when and while.
. When/ While: diễn tả 1 hành động đang xảy trong quá khứ thì 1 hành động quá 
 khứ khác xảy đến.
Ex: We were having dinner when he came last night.
. While: diễn tả hai hành động cùng xảy ra song song trong quá khứ.
Ex: While I was listening to music, my son was watching TV.
II/Present progressive tense with always: is used to complain. (hành động được 
 lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần)
Form: S + am/ is/are + always + V-ing 
Ex: Bao is always forgetting his homework.
